The flywheel.
At the centre the record, around it the SAP foundation, the campus services and assistance. The ring in marker colour is the lifecycle – twelve stations, clockwise, the arrows show the direction of spin. On the outside, the people. Tap a building block, filter by SAP or roadmap, or play a flow.
Dashed is roadmap, pale is preview – how to read the status1.
Seven paths through the layers.
Each flow runs as a line through the graphic. Stage by stage you see how it often works today – and what changes with AcademyTailor. At the end comes the summary.

The further in, the more fundamental.
The layer graphic is the shared language of every Tailor website. At AcademyTailor, SAP sits on the inside – because money is posted in S/4HANA and operations run on SAP BTP. People on the outside, the lifecycle in between.
- One recordAt the centre is the person: one record from application to alumni – with history instead of overwrites.
- SAP foundationWhat SAP customers already run or are rolling out anyway: SAP S/4HANA for money, SAP BTP for operations, HANA Cloud for data, IAS and AMS for sign-in and permissions.
- Campus servicesThe services every station uses: academic catalogue, rules, roles and permissions, billing, financial aid, advising, communications, signatures, interfaces and audit trail.
- Assistance & AISpot it before it is too late: early warning with explained reasons, briefings, deadline watch. The AI proposes, people decide.
- LifecycleTwelve stations, clockwise – from attracting to lifelong learning. Every turn feeds the next with data, credentials and people: that is the flywheel. The ring in marker colour is AcademyTailor.
- PeopleWho works with AcademyTailor – from applicants to the SAP Basis team. Every role sees only what its unit and programmes allow.
Every turn makes the next one easier.
Whoever comes brings data
An enquiry becomes an application, an application becomes a record – without typing it in twice.
Whoever is supported stays
Booking with every reason, early warning with explanations, advising in time.
Whoever can prove it is seen
Signed, publicly verifiable credentials carry your institution’s name into the world.
Whoever returns is already here
Alumni and lifelong learners start with their record – the wheel turns another round.

Questions about the flywheel.
- What does the flywheel show?
- How AcademyTailor is built, in six layers: at the centre the person’s record, around it the SAP foundation (S/4HANA, BTP, HANA Cloud, IAS/AMS, Fiori, SuccessFactors), the campus services, assistance and AI, the lifecycle with twelve stations and, on the outside, the people who work with it.
- Why is it called a flywheel?
- Because the lifecycle is a loop that reinforces itself: whoever is well attracted, supported and credentialed comes back as alumni and lifelong learner. Every turn feeds the next with data, credentials and people.
- What do the dashed segments mean?
- Dashed is roadmap, pale is preview. Everything else is in the product – built, wired and covered by service tests. The features page gives the status and a source for every building block.
- What is a flow?
- A path through the layers, stage by stage – for example from application to receivable in SAP S/4HANA. Each stage says how it often works today and what AcademyTailor does there. Flows can be played in the panel or as a full-screen presentation.
- Does the graphic work without JavaScript?
- The graphic itself needs JavaScript. All content – stations, building blocks and flows – is also on this page and the features page as text.
